Ending My Senior Year
It is the middle of March 2017 and I am officially a senior at the age of 16. So far I have managed to be on pace in 5 out of 7 classes. The 2 classes I am struggling in would be Auto and English. My senior project has been another another struggle for me because of my procrastination, but i am staying after school to get it finished. For my job shadow I chose to job shadow my former independent studies teacher, Mr. DiMaggio. It was a great experience and I got to learn more about him and his job. What I learned from my job shadow is that there is that there are different teaching techniques. For example in a normal classroom environment there are about 20 students to one teacher, so the teacher has to give a lecture so everyone can understand. Whereas with Mr. DiMaggio he is more of a one on one teacher. Before the end of last semester I had applied to both COS and PC. What excites me most about being done with high school is that I can start my journey to my career. Even though I chose to job shadow an independent studies teacher, I have a deep passion for music and the production of music. I wish to go to a community college such as pc or cos, and study in music production. After that I plan to transfer to a four year college such as sacramento state and use my experience with music to become a producer. The only activity I have been involved in this year is redzone. I've been spending most of my time in redzone trying to complete my senior project. I really enjoy redzone because I get the extra help that I'm not receiving in class from miss olivarez or miss robles. These two ladies have helped me a lot as far as finishing my website and creating my senior exit interview presentation. If I could go back to my freshman year and change one thing I did wrong it would be not joining any clubs or activities. I wish I would have been a part of more clubs and sports during my days here at Lindsay high school because both clubs and sports help you stay on pace with classes, meet new people, and give you additional knowledge on certain things. One club I would have like to have joined would probably be guitar club because the guitar is one of my favorite sounding instruments but I do not know how to play at all. A sport I would have loved to play would be football. Football is my favorite sport. In eighth grade I was a middle linebacker for the Lindsay Rams and I absolutely loved it. I mainly like the intensity and teamwork of the sport and this is why I would have loved to have been a part of the team while here at high school. There's plenty of choices I regret making and just as many choices that have helped improve me as a person. But all in all my years here at LHS have been great and now it is time for me to finish my senior year strong and begin my life after I graduate high schoolwith the class of 2017.

My Final Year of High School
Senior year, one of the most fun and exciting years of high school for teens who have made it this far. However it is also the most challenging. Of the 4 years the senior year is going to be the most difficult. I say this only because I came back to Lindsay High School three weeks late which means I’m three weeks behind in each class. However I’m very determined to complete all my assignments and graduate with the class of 2017.
It’s a whole new year and just like any other it is going to fly by really quick. While actually in school it feels as if time is going by so sluggish and after school hours fly by so fast. Even though I have such little time to complete so much I’m still very confident that I can complete all my senior assignments. I feel good about starting off my senior year and finishing high school.
This year I have four main classes and two office aid periods. I have English 12, Ag mech, Economics and Auto 1. I’m really looking forward to attending these classes. I’m also curious to see what I’ll learn in those classes as well. So far Economics and English are the most difficult for me personally. I think they are the most difficult for me mainly because I’m not a big fan of reading things that aren’t interesting to me.
As a young teenage boy it’s mandatory that I set goals for myself. I never really considered what I wanted to accomplish or what I want to do in the future. So I took a moment to think of what actually interests me. I’ve always been interested in science and the way things work. I think the best decision for me would be to just finish high school and go to a community college, like Porterville college, and take some science classes then go from there to decide what I actually would like to major in.
All in all, I’m definitely looking forward to starting my senior year finishing high school. I’m not as prepared as I would like to be but I’m pretty positive I’ll get through this year with no problem. There’s so much to do in such little time. Though I may not have time on my side I’m still very self assured I will complete all my assignments and graduate with all my friends this year as class of 2017.

End of Semester A
As the days go by and winter approaches I begin to think more and more on how I’m going to complete all my classes on pace. I’m currently not on pace with all my classes. I am behind in Ag Mech, Auto 1, and Economics. So I am only on pace in four out of seven classes. I'm mainly struggling with the projects for these three classes but I'm certain with time and effort I can complete all that i am behind on and get back on pace in all seven classes. So far I’ve really enjoyed my office aid periods and the sports events that went on this fall. I’m very anxious about this semester coming to an abrupt end, it really puts into perspective how little time we actually have before the year is over and we are off on our journey as young adult. The school days are beginning to fly by faster than the weekends and the semester is coming to sudden end. Which means I need to spend my winter break getting work done and come back to work even harder to test and turn everything in before it is too late for me. Although I can graduate next year with next year's seniors and my original class of 2018 I would much rather just get it all done now and graduate a year early with the class of 2017.With so much to do and such little time to complete my graduation requirements I am determined to finish this year and be the first of my family to graduate from Lindsay High School.Excited is just one of many adjectives I can use to describe how I feel about 2017. I'm excited about how close graduation is and how close i am to finally being done with high school but at the same time I'm stressing to complete everything I need to graduate. There’s so much to get done in only six months so of course I’m nervous about how fast graduation is approaching. I feel like time just isn't on my side and like I will not have enough time to finish everything but hopefully if all goes as planned, I will get all my work done and graduate with my friends as class of 2017.
